Strapping Seals for Plastic
There are two main types of plastic banding, Polyester and Polypropylene. While in essence, they do the same job; they have two different characteristics between them.
Polyester Strapping is known for its strength and stretch-resistant properties. It is most often used in heavy-duty applications where higher tension is required such as bundling large materials in unstable conditions. The strapping has a high break strength, and is resistant to UV rays and weather conditions
making it a suitable product for outdoor use.
Polypropylene strapping is widely known for its versatility and affordability. With this comes its use for light the medium applications such as bundling boxes, packages and lightweight products. It is more flexible than Polyester making it easier to work with and handle, but it can stretch over time or in extreme environmental conditions.
Semi Open Strapping Seals
Semi-Open Strapping Seals are available in various sizes and configurations including standard, heavy-duty, closed and long. They are an economical choice and used in conjunction with either Polyester Strapping or Polypropylene Strapping. They are used for securing light to medium packages with
ease, with the Semi-Open design allowing for a quick and hassle-free application.
They are available in widths from 12mm to 16mm and 25mm to 32mm long
Serrated Seals
Serrated Seals offer superior securing to that or Semi-Open Strapping Seals. Within the Seal are Serrated teeth which grip into either the Polyester Strapping or Polypropylene Strapping. This means that that can be used through both light and heavy-duty applications depending on which strapping is used. Serrated Seals are one of the most versatile seals available on the market.
They are available in both 12mm and 16mm sizes.
